The Royals are third in the PCL American Northern Division, three-and-a-half games behind division-leader Iowa, three games behind second-place Memphis and one-and-a-half games ahead of fourth-place Nashville.

Round Rock and Omaha have played four extra-inning games with the Royals winning each of the last three; the teams have played a total of 10 extra innings. The Express have scored more than five runs only once in this year's 12 meetings - an 8-3 victory June 20 at The Dell Diamond.
