
Spitfires' Goaltender Jack Campbell Backstops the U.S to 6-3 Victory

(Windsor) Windsor Spitfires and Team USA goaltender Jack Campbell stopped 24 of 27 shots as the U.S Under-20 National Team defeated Sweden's Under-20 squad 6-3 earlier today as part of the 2010 USA National Junior Evaluation Camp in Lake Placid, NY. Today's game marked the first of four games to be played by Team USA, as they will play Team Sweden and Team Finland twice in the series.
Campbell was one of 28 players retained by Team USA after their first set of cuts yesterday, which saw the team release 14 players from its original roster of 42. The 28 remaining players are competing for a spot on the U.S National Junior Team that will participate in the 2011 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship Dec. 26, 2010 - Jan. 5, 2011 in Buffalo, NY.
The full schedule for USA's camp is as follows. Team USA will face Team Finland tomorrow at 4 pm.
