Today, the SeaWolves look to avoid a four-game sweep as they take the field in the final game of the series against the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) at Canal Park. Last night, the 'Wolves suffered another heartbreaker as they saw two leads of three runs evaporate in a 6-5 loss to the Aeros. The loss was Erie's third straight overall and sixth consecutive at Canal Park. The 'Wolves have not won a game in Akron this season...Today, the league leader in innings pitched, righty Thad Weber takes the mound for the 'Wolves making his 19th start and second consecutive against the Aeros. Weber eared a win in his last start against Akron going eight innings, allowing two runs on eight hits with three strikeouts. In two straight and in three of his last four starts, Weber has not issued a walk. His 119.0 innings pitched tops the league and he has thrown at least five innings in each of his starts and has gone at least 6.2 innings in 12 of his last 14...Lefty Scott Barnes takes the mound for Akron. Barnes took a no-decision in his last start against Erie going seven innings, allowing a run on four hits with no walks and four strikeouts. Today is Barnes 18th start and third against the SeaWolves. He is 0-1 with a no-decision against the 'Wolves...The SeaWolves are hitting just .217 in 13 games against the Aeros in 2010.
