
PawSox get pounded by G-Braves

Things have not exactly been peachy for the PawSox when they've played in the Peach State.
On Sunday, Pawtucket lost to the Gwinnett Braves 11-2 as the PawSox fell to 0-6 all-time at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, GA.
Wes Timmons led a 13-hit attack for the Braves by going 4-for-5 with 2 RBI. Mitch Jones had a pair of doubles and a triple as Gwinnett improved to 13-12 this season. Tim Gustafson (2-1) allowed 2 runs in 5 IP to pick up the win.
Daniel Nava drove in Pawtucket's first run with a third inning single, and Lars Anderson picked up an RBI on a 6th inning ground out. Angel Sanchez and Aaron Bates had two hits each for the PawSox.
Fabio Castro (0-2) was the losing pitcher for Pawtucket, as the lefty surrendered five runs in 3.1 IP.
The PawSox will try to change their 0-for-Georgia status when the teams meet on Monday night at 7:05. Michael Bowden (0-0, 7.20) will square off against James Parr (1-2, 3.86) in Game 3 of a 4-game series. Pre-game coverage begins at 6:50 on the PawSox radio network and pawsox.com.
