
PawSox and Red Wings split Doubleheader

The PawSox and Rochester split a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at McCoy. Game one went to Pawtucket, 1-0. The Wings rallied to take the nightcap, 4-2. In the opener, Daisuke Matsuzaka threw 5 shuitout innings at Rochester. Making the rehab start, Dice-K, allowed just 2 hits and a walk. He struck out three hitters. Matsuzaka threw 73 pitches. Aaron Bates knocked in the only run of the game with an rbi single.
In game 2, Adam Mills had a great first effort, twirling 4 shutout frames. Mills scattered 3 hits. He had 1 strikeout. Kris Johnson (0-1) took the loss. K.J. allowed 4 runs (2 earned) in his 3 innings of work. Daniel Nava and Bubba Bell each had a hit and an rbi. Glen Perkins, Matt Fox (1-0) and Anthony Slama (save #1) limited Pawtucket to just two hits. The series will conclude on Sunday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. Yoslan Herrera faces Fabio Castro.
