Thunder Recalls DJ White From Tulsa 66ers

OKLAHOMA CITY, April 9, 2010 - Oklahoma City Thunder Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti announced today that the team has recalled forward DJ White from the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League.

During White's most recent assignment to the 66ers he helped lead Tulsa to a 119-109 victory over the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the first found of the NBA D-League Playoffs yesterday afternoon. White played 29 minutes and finished with 21 points to go along with five rebounds and four assists in the 66ers first-ever playoff win.

In his two prior stints with Tulsa, White appeared in 10 regular season games and posted averages of 20.2 points, 11.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 39.2 minutes per contest.

The 6-9 forward has made 11 appearances for the Thunder this season and recorded averages of 5.2 points and 2.1 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per game.

The 66ers will take the court tonight at 7:00 PM (CST) in Sioux Falls for game two of the best-of-three first round D-League Playoff series versus the Skyforce.

The Tulsa 66ers, who were purchased by the Professional Basketball Club LLC on July 31, 2008, are the minor league affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder are one of four teams in the NBA (Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs) who have an ownership agreement with their minor league affiliate.
