
Skinner's 50th Wins Game For Rangers 5-4

Jeff Skinner scored his 50th goal of the season and the game-winner with 11-seconds left in the third period to edge the Kitchener Rangers 5-4 over the Owen Sound Attack.
Grant McGee and Joey Hishon put the Attack up 2-0 by the 7:57 mark of the first period. Jeremy Morin answered back to make it a one-goal game by 13:44. Skinner scored his 49th goal of the season to tie the game 2-2 with 18-seconds left in the period. The Rangers had a 15-10 shooting edge over the Attack.
Matt Tipoff gave the Rangers a 3-2 lead with a power play goal early in the second period. Gabriel Landeskog scored for Kitchener just 2-seconds after the Rangers power play expired at 10:40 to increase their lead 4-2. Owen Sound's Marcus Carroll tightened the gap 4-3 with 1:52 left in the period.
Jason Wilson tied the score once again for the Attack 4-4 at 5:14 of the third period. With an overtime period looming, Skinner scored the game-winning goal at 19:49. This was his 50th goal of the season. Skinner becomes the first Rangers player in 23-years to score 50 goals.
The Rangers will be at home to open the 2010 OHL playoffs on Friday, March 19th at 7:30. Team to be determined.
