Blades Sit Ninth In Week 25 CHL Rankings

The Saskatoon Blades dropped three spots to #9 in the BMO CHL MasterCard Top 10 Rankings which were released on Wednesday afternoon.

The Blades played four games since the previous rankings came out last week. The team opened the week with a 5-3 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings on the road last Wednesday. The week continued with a pair of road games in Alberta on the weekend. On Saturday, the Blades came from behind to defeat the Edmonton Oil Kings 6-4. Then on Sunday, the Bridge City Bunch dropped a 6-1 decision at the hands of the Calgary Hitmen. The Blades finished off the week of play with a 4-2 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors last night at home.

The weekly rankings of the Canadian Hockey League's Top 10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts. This is the 21st time this season the Blades have appeared in the rankings.

The Blades return to action tonight at home against the provincial rival Regina Pats. Game time is 7:05 pm. Tonight's game can be seen live throughout Western Canada on the WHL on SHAW on local channel 10/SHAW Direct channel 299.
