MCALLEN, TEXAS - The NBA Development League Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today that their parent club, the NBA Houston Rockets, have recalled guard Jermaine Taylor (6-4, 210, Central Florida).
Taylor played in two games after getting assigned on Friday, averaging 15.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. In Sunday's 117-107 win over Maine, Taylor scored 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting, including 3-for-5 from behind the arc.
Taylor, who was also with the Vipers from January 28-through-February 4, is averaging 19.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in six games (two starts).
In 17 games with the Rockets this season, Taylor is averaging 2.6 points and 6.1 minutes per game.
Taylor becomes the ninth Vipers alumnus in the NBA at this point, Antonio Anderson (Oklahoma City Thunder), Garrett Temple (Rockets), Jawad Williams (Cleveland Cavaliers), C.J. Watson (Golden State Warriors), Aaron Brooks (Rockets), Shannon Brown (Los Angeles Lakers), Joey Dorsey (Sacramento Kings) and Steve Novak (Los Angeles Clippers).
