Atila dos Santos Added To Jam Roster

(Bakersfield, Calif. - February 3, 2010) - The Bakersfield Jam has acquired forward/center Atila dos Santos in a move that went through just before the team's Tuesday night game against the Los Angeles D-Fenders.
In his first action in Bakersfield dos Santos contributed 4 points and 5 rebounds in just under 16 minutes for a short-handed Jam team. Playing in Bulgaria last season, he averaged 13.7 points and 8.0 rebounds while shooting 55.3% from the field and was named to Eurobasket.com's All-Bulgarian League Third Team.
"We're happy to add Atila to our team, and we expect him to help solidify our front court with defense and rebounding," said Jam Head Coach Will Voigt. "He is a hardworking big man who came late to the game, and we believe he has tremendous potential."
A North Coast Conference Player of the Year at Div. II Minnesota State-Mankato, dos Santos averaged a double-double (16.1 pts, 10.6 reb, 1.2 bl) during his 2007-08 senior season. He will take the roster spot which became available after the early-week release of Rodney Webb.
