LOWELL, MA- Michael Wilson scored his 2nd goal of the season in the third period but the Sharks dropped their third straight decision in a 5-1 loss to the Devils in Lowell on Friday night.Tyler Eckford scored twice on the power play and Jeff Frazee made 20 saves in net for the Devils for their 4th straight victory
After 31 goals scored between the clubs in the first three games, each team turned up the defense in period one. The Devils outshot the Sharks 11-6 through twenty minutes in a scoreless period. Brandon Mashinter picked up his 7th fighting major of the season in a rock'em sock'em brawl against Louis Robitaille at 9:32 which ended after a right hand set down Robitaille.
In the 2nd period, Ben Walter gave the Devils a 1-0 lead after he picked up his own rebound and roofed the puck on the backhand from on top of the crease to beat Tyson Sexsmith at 1:03. Vladimir Zharkov made it 2-0 Devils with a rap-a-round attempt at 18:21. Shots were 13-5 in favor of the Devils as the Sharks went ten minutes without a shot in the middle period.
After Alexander Vasyunov made it 3-1 Devils just :32 seconds into the third period, Michael Wilson connected on a rebound for a shorthanded goal at 5:32 to get the Sharks on the board. Kevin Henderson assisted on the goal after a nice rush and feed to Frazer McLaren. But 23 seconds later, Tyler Eckford fired a shot from the point through a screen to give the Devils a 4-1 lead. Exactly two minutes later, Eckford struck again on the power play to round out the scoring.
With the loss, the Sharks fall to 8-6-0-1 (17 points) on the season.

Final shots were 36-21 in favor of the Devils, the lowest total of shots on goal this season for Worcester (previous was 30)... the assist for Kevin Henderson was his first professional point.

On Sunday, the Sharks host the Providence Bruins at 3:05p.m. during the Worcester County Sheriff's Office 4th Annual Canned Food Drive when the Worcester Sharks host the Providence Bruins on Sunday, November 15th at 7:05p.m. at the DCU Center.
