
Syracuse Crunch And Onondaga County Agree To Long-Term Lease

Syracuse, NY (November 13, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch, in partnership with Onondaga County, the Oncenter Complex and the Oncenter Board of Directors, announced today that they have reached a long-term lease agreement for the Crunch to continue to play their home games at the War Memorial at Oncenter.
The lease, which is set for 10 years (runs through the 2018-19 season), was finalized earlier today by Howard Dolgon, Crunch President and CEO and Terri Toennies, Oncenter Complex President and CEO. As is club policy, terms were not disclosed.
"This proved to be a great team effort between County Executive Joanie Mahoney, Oncenter President Terri Toennies and the Oncenter Board of Directors," said Crunch President and CEO Howard Dolgon. "We appreciate and enjoy a strong relationship in a building that continues to make improvements."
"I am thrilled that the Crunch and the Oncenter have signed a 10 year contract extension," said County Executive Joanie Mahoney. "As the War Memorial's anchor tenant, the Crunch bring thousands of fans downtown and they create a strong customer base for downtown businesses. I have said many times, that for our region to thrive we must have a vibrant downtown and the Crunch are a key component to that vibrancy."

"We look forward to our committed partnership that supports our neighborhood businesses and keeps the excitement of professional hockey alive in Upstate New York."
The Crunch have called the War Memorial at Oncenter home since the club's inaugural 1994-95 season. Syracuse is currently in its 16th season, tied for the sixth-longest current tenure in the AHL. Additionally, the Crunch are led by the longest-serving current independent ownership in the league.
The Crunch face-off against Providence on Friday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the War Memorial at Oncenter before traveling to Hamilton to take on the Bulldogs at Copps Coliseum on Saturday, November 14 at 7:00 p.m. Season and single-game tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444 or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
