*SCOUTING REPORT*

The Admirals will kick off the week with a pair of contests against the Manitoba Moose. Rookie RW Sergei Shirokov leads the Moose with five goals and 11 points. The Moose have been very solid in goal with former Bears backstop Daren Machesney (2-3-0, 2.14,.921) and reigning Aldege "Baz" Bastien Memorial Award as the AHL's Outstanding Goaltender Cory Schneider (6-3-0, 2.41,.910). However, Schneider is currently on recall to the Vancouver Canucks. The Moose have signed former Philadelphia Phantoms netminder Rejean Beauchemin to a Professional Tryout Contract.

On Friday, the Admirals travel to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to face the Penguins for the first time this season. Baby Pens leading scorer Chris Conner (2G, 6A) is on recall to Pittsburgh. John Curry (5-2-1, 2.20,.926) continues to shine for the Penguins in net. There are three former Admirals on the Penguins squad: C Wyatt Smith, D Ben Lovejoy and LW Wade Brookbank. The Penguins are off until facing the Admirals on Friday.

The Admirals will renew pleasantries with the Syracuse Crunch in New York on Saturday night to close out the week. Syracuse has claimed both games of the season series thus far - a 5-4 come-from-behind victory in Syracuse on October 16 and a 2-0 victory last Friday at Scope. Alexandre Picard leads the team with five goals and his nine points are tied with Derek MacKenzie and Pascal Pelletier for the team lead in scoring. The Crunch will play in Rochester on Friday before hosting the Admirals on Saturday.
