
Dream Clinches First Playoff Berth In Franchise History

Atlanta, September 11, 2009- Continuing one of the biggest single season turnarounds in league history, the Atlanta Dream clinched its first playoff berth in the franchise's two-year history. With a win tonight over the Connecticut Sun, the Dream secured the second seed in the Eastern Conference for the 2009 WNBA Playoffs.
The Dream (18-15) is currently second in the Eastern Conference with one regular season game remaining. Atlanta finished 4-30 as an expansion team a year ago, but now boasts the second biggest single season turnaround in WNBA history. The Dream concludes regular season play against the Washington Mystics on the road on Saturday night.
Dream first round playoff tickets go on sale on Monday, September 14 at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster.com. The first round games will be played at Gwinnett Arena next week (dates/opponents TBD). Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-877-WNBA-TIX, at AtlantaDream.net, at the Gwinnett Arena box office and all Ticketmaster outlets.
