CHARLESTON, SC - The New York Yankees announced that RiverDogs RHP Brett Marshall has been placed on the disabled list retroactive to July 17, 2009. At this time, no one will take his place on the active roster.
Marshall has made 17 starts for the RiverDogs in '09 and has posted a 3-6 record with a 5.56 ERA (54ER/87.1IP). The Highlands, Tex. native has allowed 96 hits and 37 walks while striking out 60.
The RiverDogs conclude their homestand Monday, July 20 and then embark on a 10 day, eight-game road trip through Greensboro, NC and Charleston, W.Va. only to return to The Joe beginning Friday, July 31st for a four-game set against the Lexington Legends, an affiliate of the Houston Astros.
