PORTLAND, Ore. - With the 2009 Cricket Wireless Triple-A All-Star Game at PGE Park less than a week away, the Portland Beavers today announced additional details for the contest that will be played on Wednesday, July 15, at 7 p.m.

National Anthem: Storm Large In 2006, Storm Large was featured on CBS' "Rock Star: Supernova." This three-month stint on television gained her worldwide fame and in late 2006, her single, "Ladylike," debuted at No. 5 on the hot singles chart in Billboard Magazine. For the next two years she and her band, The Balls, toured all around the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Iceland and Singapore. In 2007, Storm starred as Sally Bowles in the Portland Center Stage production of "Cabaret." Storm is currently playing to packed audiences nightly at Portland Center Stage in her popular, one-woman show, "Crazy Enough," which, to much critical acclaim, she wrote and stars in.

Ceremonial First Pitch: Dave Winfield Inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001 during his first year of eligibility, Dave Winfield is one of seven major league players in history to reach over 3,000 hits and over 450 home runs. A 12-time All-Star who won seven Gold Gloves and six Silver Slugger awards, Winfield played 22 major league seasons with San Diego (1973-80), the New York Yankees (1981-1990), California (1990-01), Toronto (1992), Minnesota (1993-94) and Cleveland (1995). Winfield, who serves as an executive vice president/senior advisor for the Padres, began his association with the San Diego club, which has been the major league affiliate of the Beavers since 2001, in 1973 when he jumped directly from the University of Minnesota to the major leagues as a first-round draft pick (fourth overall). He also became the first and only athlete to be drafted in three professional sports: basketball (Atlanta Hawks, Utah Stars), football (Minnesota Vikings) and baseball (San Diego).

Ceremonial First Pitch: Johnny Pesky Portland's own Johnny Pesky batted .307 during a 10-year major league playing career with the Boston Red Sox (1942, 1946-52), Detroit Tigers (1952-54) and Washington Senators (1954). A 1946 American League All-Star, Pesky has been a popular part of the Red Sox organization for the better part of the last seven decades, serving with the organization as a player, coach, manager, radio and television announcer, advertising salesman and special-assignment instructor. Born in Portland, Pesky attended Lincoln High School and was inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1980 and the Red Sox Hall of Fame as one of its first members honored in 1995. Among his career achievements, Pesky shares the major league record for leading the league in hits three straight years.

In-Game Entertainment: The Famous Chicken The Famous Chicken, also known commonly as The San Diego Chicken, has reached icon status as a sports and entertainment personality throughout the nation and the world. In his element as an outrageous comic actor, he's as unique and gifted a humorist as any stage has ever seen. He's on a list that includes Muhammad Ali, Babe Ruth, Jesse Owens, Pete Rozelle, Ted Turner and Wayne Gretzky, among others.
