On April 18, 1983, the Peoria Suns played the first home game in Peoria Chiefs history with a 7-3 loss to the Quad City Cubs in front of 1,134 fans at Meinen Field. More than 26 years later, the Peoria Chiefs are ready to welcome their five millionth fan in franchise history!!!! Needing just 391 fans to reach the milestone, the Chiefs will celebrate with all their fans on Saturday, July 4 with $5 tickets and a 5:00 p.m. start against the Beloit Snappers.
Every fan who enters O'Brien Field on Saturday has an equal chance to be recognized as the Five Millionth Fan in Chiefs history.
