FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - ESPN2 will televise both games of the New England Revolution-Chicago Fire Eastern Conference Semifinal Series in the 2008 MLS Cup Playoffs as part of its season-long Primetime Thursday lineup.

Game One of the two-game, aggregate-goals series will be played on Thursday, Oct. 30, while Game Two will be played on Thursday, Nov. 6. Locations and kickoff times for both games will be announced at a later date as the teams' final playoff seeds are still undetermined heading into the final weekend of regular-season action. For ticket information about the Revolution's home game at Gillette Stadium, call 1-877-GET-REVS.

In addition to the game coverage, ESPN2 will also preview both games with live pregame shows.

The Revolution and Fire will meet in the MLS Cup Playoffs for the sixth time in seven seasons, including each season since 2005. The Revs have defeated Chicago four times in the playoffs and, in each of the last three seasons, New England has topped the Fire to advance to MLS Cup.

This season, Chicago swept the teams' three-game series, taking three wins by a combined score of 9-1. Both teams are currently tied for second place in the Eastern Conference with 43 points heading into the last weekend of the regular season. The teams' results this weekend - New England will host Kansas City on Saturday, while Chicago will host New York on Thursday - will determine which of the two teams earns the number two seed in the East and hosts the pivotal Game Two of the semifinal series. Should the Revs and Fire still remain tied on points after Saturday's game, Chicago holds the tiebreaker between the teams having swept the season series.

The Revs have advanced to the MLS Cup Playoffs for the ninth time in team history and for the seventh straight season, Boston's longest current playoff run by one of its professional teams. The Revolution has advanced to an MLS-record six straight Eastern Conference Championships and has played in four of the last six MLS Cups.

The Revolution (12-10-7, 43 pts.) is currently tied for second in the Eastern Conference and closes out its 2008 home schedule on Saturday, Oct. 25, when the team hosts the Kansas City Wizards at Gillette Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Saturday's game is "Fan Appreciation Night," where the team's fans will be recognized for their outstanding support through a variety of giveaways. Also, the 2008 Revolution team awards will be presented in a pregame ceremony. For more information or ticket information, call 1-877-GET-REVS or visit www.revolutionsoccer.net.
