BLANCO AUTOGRAPH SESSION AT BEST BUY OCTOBER 21
Fire midfielder Cuauhtémoc Blanco will be signing autographs at Best Buy (2100 N. Elston Ave.) in Chicago from 7-8:30 p.m. this Tuesday, Oct. 21. Blanco will be signing autographs to promote the new MLS Gamebreakers DVD. Customers who purchase MLS Gamebreakers will be guaranteed an autograph while a second line for those who have not purchased the DVD will receive autographs during the allotted time.
CHICAGO PLAYS FINAL REGULAR SEASON GAME VS. NEW YORK THURSDAY
The Chicago Fire (12-10-7, 43 pts.) hosts New York (10-10-9, 39 pts.) in their last regular season match on Thursday, Oct. 23 (8 p.m., ESPN2, WRTO 1200-AM Spanish and WNVR 1030-AM Polish) at TOYOTA PARK. Chicago would clinch home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs with a victory in Thursday's game. The Fire have already passed their 2007 win (10) and points total (40) and look to surpass their 2007 shutout total (11) in Thursday's game. Thursday's match is the 34th match between the two teams...the Fire leads the all-time series 17-10-6 after winning both of this season's matchups - 5-1 on May 25 at NY and 1-0 at TOYOTA PARK on Sept. 6...Chicago leads the all-time series in games played at home by a 9-3-4 mark which includes a 3-0-1 record at TOYOTA PARK...the Fire had gone just 2-5-3 in the previous 10 matches before winning the last 2...the last time the Fire won 3 consecutive games against NY was part of a franchise-high 4-game win streak from 7/13/02-6/28/03.
CHICAGO IN MLS CUP PLAYOFFS FOR 10TH TIME IN 11 SEASONS
The Chicago Fire head to the 2008 MLS Cup Playoffs next as they will play New England in the first round starting next Thursday Oct. 30 (6:30 p.m. CT) with the 2nd game of the first round being played Thursday, Nov. 6 (7:30 p.m. CT)...these teams will meet for the 6th time in the last 7 years in the playoffs...the Fire will have home field advantage (meaning they will play the 2nd of the 2 games) if they were to win Thursday's game against New York...Chicago holds the head-to-head tiebreaker after defeating the Revolution in all three meetings this season...tickets for the Fire's playoff game (date and time TBA), are on sale now at the TOYOTA PARK box office, by calling 888-MLS-FIRE or logging onto chicago-fire.com and at any Ticketmaster location including ticketmaster.com.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL AT TOYOTA PARK FRIDAY
The first-ever high school football game to be played at TOYOTA PARK will be Friday, October 24 at 7:30 p.m. and will feature De La Salle vs. Fenwick. The game will also be Fenwick's Senior Night. Tickets are on sale at the TOYOTA PARK Ticket Office, both high schools and all Ticketmaster outlets including ticketmaster.com.
