Grand Rapids Griffins News Release
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins on Monday officially unveiled a revamped web site that features a sharper design with improved content, easier navigation and better organization.
Designed to offer a logical layout that is easy to navigate, the new griffinshockey.com provides quicker ways for fans to get information on upcoming games, promotions, tickets and community events, while maintaining the following popular features:
- GriffVision - Watch highlights from select Griffins home games, interviews and exclusive video features;
- Audio Clips - Listen to the top goals from each game, as described by Bob Kaser on Newsradio WOOD 1300, in addition to post-game reactions from the locker room;
- Newsstand - Read feature stories about the Griffins from around the web and access the latest news stories on the Griffins, the AHL and the Detroit Red Wings;
- Freeze Frame - View memorable photos of current Griffins players, NHL alumni, fans and events;
- Exclusive Blogs - FOX 17's Tim Doty and WZZM 13's Dan Harland will once again provide their unique insights into the realm of professional hockey;
- Enhanced player information, easily-accessible stats and standings and the AHL game console with up-to-the-minute scores on game nights.
Throughout the season, the site's dynamic header will pay homage to those former Griffins who won the Stanley Cup as members of the 2007-08 Red Wings. Themed "Stanley Cup Champions: Raised in Grand Rapids," the header currently spotlights Darren Helm.
Griffinshockey.com continues to offer extensive photo galleries, free subscriptions to the "Griff Info" news/information and GriffVision video services, the team's media guide and "E-Griffiti" magazine. The site also remains the preferred portal for Griffins fans to order tickets, access live audio and video webcasts, shop for team merchandise, and view live scores from around the AHL.
Griffinshockey.com is optimally viewed with either Internet Explorer 7.0 or Firefox. The site was designed by Infinity Pro Sports (IPS), whose mission is to provide technologically advanced web based software and services to the professional and collegiate sports industries. With corporate and national sales offices based in College Station, Texas, IPS boasts more than 350 clients throughout the sports world.
