Buffalo Bisons Open Eight-Game Homestand as 2008 Season Nears Conclusion

With only 11 home games left in the 2008 schedule, the Buffalo Bisons will return home for an eight-game homestand, Thursday, August 14 - Thursday, August 21. After two-game series against rivals Rochester and Pawtucket, the Herd will welcome in the Lehigh Valley IronPigs for a four-game set.

Each series will be the final visits of the opponents to Dunn Tire Park this season.

Included in the homestand are several of the Bisons' marquee events each summer. The final fridaynightbash!® of the season, presented by Seneca Gaming Corporation, will be held this Friday, August 15 with live music from "The Perfect Game" during a pre-game Plaza Party and post-game Fireworks Show from HSBC Bank USA, N.A. The Famous Chicken, presented by NFTA Metro, will bring his fowl antics to the ballpark on Saturday, August 16. The team's popular stadium replica series will continue with an Offermann Stadium Giveaway, to the first 4,000 fans through the Swan St. gate on Wednesday, August 20, presented by Hamburg Overhead Door/Liftmaster.

-"Year of the Bisons Fan" Nintendo Wii Giveaway to one lucky fan in attendance.

-First Responders Night! as we pay tribute to local fire, police and rescue men and women with a pre-game emergency vehicle parade.

Pawtucket Red Sox Series (Aug. 16-17)

Saturday, August 16 @ 7:05 p.m. (Gates 6:00 p.m.)

-The Famous Chicken, presented by NFTA Metro. The world's most famous sports entertainer brings his fowl antics to Dunn Tire Park for fans of all ages to enjoy.

-High School Saturday, presented by Niagara University. High School students can purchase two tickets for only $12 when they present a valid high school ID

Sunday, August 17 @ 1:05 p.m. (Gates 12:00 p.m.)

-The final Family Fun Sunday of the season.

-Wegmans Kids Games on the field before the game.

-After the Bisons game, all children are welcomed down to the field for Kids Run the Bases, presented by Nestle.

Lehigh Valley IronPigs Series (Aug. 18-21)

Monday, August 18 @ 7:05 p.m. (Gates 6:00 p.m.)

-Markdown Monday has the best values in town. Tickets are ONLY $7 for the game and concession stands will feature $1 popcorn and $1 ice cream specials. There will also be a special discounted merchandise table set up in the concourse.

Tuesday, August 19 @ 7:05 p.m. (Pre Game Tent Party, 5:00 p.m.)

-Bisons Festival Night Series continues with Native American Festival Night, presented Seneca Gaming Corporation and by your WNY Buick, Pontiac and GMC Dealers.

-Pre-game Tent Party feature live music and food and drink specials.

Wednesday, August 20 @ 7:05 p.m. (Gates 6:00 p.m.)

-Offermann Stadium Giveaway, presented by Hamburg Overhead Door/Liftmaster, to the first 4,000 fans through the Swan St. Gate. Original seats from the ballpark will be on display in the concourse.

-UNYTS Blood Drive with a donation center on the Dunn Tire Park Plaza from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
