Ft. Mill, SC - The Richmond Braves beat the Charlotte Knights 4-2 Tuesday at Knights Stadium. Brent Lillibridge hit a three run homer in the third inning and three Braves pitchers combined to allow just five hits as the Braves earned their fourth straight win.
Lillibridge's home run scored Jason Perry and Josh Anderson and put the Braves in front to stay. Ex-R-Brave Jason Bourgeois answered with a two run homer in the bottom half but the Knights would get no closer. Wes Timmons doubled home an insurance run in the seventh.
James Parr tossed 6.2 innings to earn the win. Jorge Julio notched a save. Wes Whisler took the loss. Josh Anderson had two hits for the Braves and tied a Richmond record by stretching his hitting streak to 19 games.
