Florence, KY - The Florence Freedom are happy to announce an Andy Griggs mini concert on Tuesday, June 24th. The event is presented by Classic Country, 106.7 WNKR and Money Mailer.

Griggs, a well known country music artist with many mainstream hits including "You Won't Ever Be Lonely", "I'll Go Crazy", and "She's More" will be performing a few of his hit songs before the game.

The gates to Champion Window Field open at 6:05pm, with the concert to follow at approximately 6:15pm. The Florence Freedom then take on the Kalamazoo Kings that evening in the second game of the three game series at 7:05pm.

"We have been looking for ways to get into the concert business," mentioned the Freedom's President and CEO Clint Brown. "This is a good opportunity for us to use our great venue for things other than just baseball."

In addition to the concert, Griggs will perform the National Anthem, throw out the first pitch and join radio broadcaster, Roger Redmon, for an inning of color commentary.

One lucky Freedom fan will also win an autographed guitar, provided by Montage.

June 24th is also a "Caught up in a Cause" Tuesday presented by The Bank of Kentucky. Fans can donate $5.00 to charity to play catch on the field before the game and also bid on the Freedom's special jerseys worn that night in a silent auction. The proceeds from the jersey auction also go to charity.

Ticket packages and group outings are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting Champion Window Field or by calling the Freedom office at (859) 594-HITS.

The Florence Freedom are a member of the Frontier League, a 12-team Independent Professional Baseball League established in 1993. The Freedom play a 96 game schedule with 54 home games between late May and early September.
