Chiefs Face-Off Three Times This Week

Three games in four nights will feature a pair of U.S. Division opponents and two home games as the Spokane Chiefs enter the week with the WHL's top winning percentage. Spokane will host Kamloops on Wednesday before traveling to Portland on Friday and hosting Tri-City on Saturday night.

The newest member of the Chiefs, Justin McCrae, is expected to make his debut on Wednesday night on TicketsWest Player Magnet Wednesday. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a collector's edition player magnet courtesy of TicketsWest. The 19-year-old McCrae was acquired on Monday from the Saskatoon Blades, three days before the WHL's trade deadline.

Friday night, Spokane will play at Portland for the third time this year at 7:30. Mike Boyle will go on the air at 7:00 with Comcast Hockey Tonight on KJRB 790 the Fan.

The Chiefs and Americans rivalry will resume for the third time in 13 days when Tri-City visits the Spokane Arena on Saturday night. Not only will the game feature one dollar hot dogs, Coca-Cola products and popcorn courtesy of Red Lion River Inn, but the first 5,000 fans through the gates will receive a pair of CheerStix. The game will also be televised live on Comcast Channel 12.

WHL HANDS DOWN SUSPENSIONS

The WHL handed down suspensions to a pair of Spokane Chiefs, giving forwards Chris Bruton three games and Dustin Donaghy one game after each received major penalties for checking from behind on Saturday, January 5th in Tri-City.

Donaghy will serve his suspension on Wednesday night when Spokane hosts the Kamloops Blazers while Bruton will miss all three games this week; Wednesday versus Kamloops, Friday at Portland and Saturday against Tri-City at home.
