Blades and Rebels on Rogers Sportsnet

The Saskatoon Blades are on their way to Alberta today with stops in Edmonton on Tuesday night and Red Deer on Wednesday night, a game which will be televised on Roger's Sportsnet.

The tilt between the Blades and Rebels on Wednesday, January 9th, will be broadcast on Sportsnet West and Sportsnet Pacific beginning at 8:00pm local time (9:00 ET). The game will see World Junior Hockey Championship teammates Colton Gillies and Brandon Sutter, each gold medalists with Team Canada, suit up against each other for the first time since the tournament concluded on Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Blades get set to take on the Edmonton Oil Kings in Edmonton on Tuesday night. It is expected that new Blades Chris Langkow and Burke Gallimore, who were acquired via trade with the Spokane Chiefs on Monday evening, will be in the line-up. Gillies is also expected to make his return to the Blades line-up in the game.

The Blades will return to home ice on Saturday, January 12th when they host the Prince Albert Raiders. A special pre-game presentation will be made to Colton Gillies, recognizing his efforts with Team Canada. Fans will also have the opportunity to win an autographed Team Canada jersey, as well as receive autographs from Gillies following the game.
