
Two Komets earn IHL November honors

Fort Wayne, IN --- The IHL announced Monday that two Komets received honors for the month of November.
Luciano Aquino (RW) was named the Aquafina IHL Rookie of the Month. Aquino, 22, led the Komets with 9 goals (3 power play goals and 2 game winners) and 15 points during the month. The skater netted his first hat trick of the season in the Komet's 5-2 win vs. Muskegon Nov. 3. Aquino posted 4 multiple point games and had points in 8 of the 12 games played. Aquino also earned a +5 plus/minus rating. Overall Aquino leads Fort Wayne with 11 goals and 18 points in 16 games. His 11 goals are the most scored by a rookie this season and Aquino leads IHL rookies with 4 power play goals and 2 game winning goals.
Nick Boucher was named Southern Sports Supply IHL Goaltender of the Month. Boucher, 26, was unbeaten in regulation with a record of 3-0-0-1 in 4 November starts making 110 saves on 118 shots for an IHL November best 1.92 goals against average. Overall Boucher ranks second among IHL goaltenders with a 2.33 goals against average after 7 weeks of play.
