Calgary, AB - Calgary Hitmen General Manager and Head Coach Kelly Kisio announced today forward Ryan Letts has been traded to the Spokane Chiefs for a sixth round pick in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft.
"We would like to thank Ryan for his commitment to our organization and to the city of Calgary," said Kisio.
"It was not an easy move to make, but we had to get down to the WHL's 25 man roster, added Kisio. "We wish Ryan great success with the Spokane Chiefs."
Letts, an 18-year-old right winger from Newport Beach, California, played 88 games with the Hitmen. He had eight points (5g 3a) while picking up 85 penalty minutes.
The Hitmen continue their BC Division road trip tonight in Kelowna against the Rockets. Calgary is 9-1-0-0 while Kelowna is 3-3-1-0. The Internet Broadcast on www.fan60.com starts at 8:00 p.m. Mountain Time.
