Goaltenders Boutin, Cey Assigned To Sea Wolves

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced on Thursday that goaltenders Morgan Cey and Jonathan Boutin have been assigned to the team from its' American Hockey League affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals.

A native of Granby, Quebec, Boutin split last season between Springfield of the AHL, where he was 9-17-1 with an .897 save percentage and a goals-against average of 3.29, and Johnstown of the ECHL, where he went 0-2-0 with .919 save percentage and a 3.07 goals-against average. In 2005-06 as a rookie, the 6-2, 206-pound Boutin appeared in 22 games with Springfield, going 8-12-2 with an .899 save percentage, and was 8-9-2 in 19 games with Johnstown.

Cey, who played four seasons of college hockey for the Fighting Irish of the University of Notre Dame, was 20-19-5 in 47 games with Johnstown last season, posting a 2.93 goals-against average and a save percentage of .916. The previous season, Cey was 17-9-7 in 35 appearances for Johnstown, and was 1-0-0 with a shutout in two games with Springfield.

"Having Morgan and Jonathan gives us a solid foundation in the net," stated Sea Wolves head coach Steffon Walby. "Both of these guys are outstanding goaltenders, and will both be competitive for the starting job. They both have the ability to steal games for us, and they are both exciting goalies to watch."

On Saturday, October 27th the Sea Wolves will celebrate their return to home ice and their 10th season in pursuit of the ECHL's Kelly Cup when they face the Reading Royals at 7:05 P.M.
