Fort Wayne Fusion name McCaffrey GM

The Fort Wayne Fusion announced today that Mike McCaffrey has been hired as the team's General Manager . He will be responsible for the day-to-day business operations of the team.
"Mike is a winner and has a great deal of experience in sports and business," Owner Jeremy Golden said. "He's exactly the type of leader that will make the Fusion one of the elite teams in the arenafootball2 league and minor league sports."
McCaffrey was most recently the sales manager for the Tri-City Valley Cats in Albany, New York. He has also held positions with Capital District Sports, Inc (owners of the Albany River Rats of American Hockey League and the Albany Conquest of af2), the National Institute for Fitness and Sport, the Indiana Firebirds (formerly known as the Albany Firebirds) and the Norfolk Nighthawks. McCaffrey graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management. Prior to attending ODU he played two years of college football at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.
"I am very grateful for the opportunity to lead the Fort Wayne Fusion into their first season in arenafootball2", McCaffrey commented. "I knew ten seconds into my first phone conversation with Jeremy Golden that this was the right time for me to return to Indiana. He is giving the Fort Wayne Fusion every chance to be successful and I am extremely excited about getting our staff some direction and start accomplishing our goals for 2007."
