
Wolves Lose Garnett to Atlanta; Receive Berkhoel

The Atlanta Thrashers have recalled goaltender MICHAEL GARNETT from the Chicago Wolves. In addition, the Thrashers have reassigned netminder ADAM BERKHOEL (BUHRK-uhl) to the Wolves.
GARNETT has recorded wins in 10 of his last 11 outings, including a team season-high nine-game winning streak from March 18 to April 7. The 23-year-old netminder has started 13 consecutive contests, a franchise-high.
Overall, he has registered a 15-12-4 mark with a 3.36 goals-against average and an .881 save percentage in 35 appearances with the Wolves this season.
The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native has notched a 10-7-0 mark, two shutouts, a 3.44 goals-against average and a .886 save percentage in 23 appearances with the Thrashers this season, his National Hockey League debut.
GARNETT set an Atlanta franchise-record scoreless streak of 151:55 from Dec. 22 to 28, including the first back-to-back shutouts by a goalie in Thrashers history on Dec. 23 and 26. He also appeared in a franchise-most 17 consecutive games from Nov. 24 to Dec. 28.
BERKHOEL has recorded a 2-4-0 mark with a 4.08 goals-against average and an .876 save percentage in eight outings with the Thrashers - his NHL debut. The 24-year-old has also posted a 3-6-0 mark with a 3.65 goals-against average and an .882 save percentage in 11 appearances with the Wolves and a 10-4-1 mark with a 2.73 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage in 15 outings with the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators.
