Bridgeport currently leads Binghamton in the East Division standings, 85 points to 78. The Sound Tigers have two games remaining in the regular season, including a Friday night contest against the Penguins in Wilkes-Barre, while the Senators have four games left.
Bridgeport's magic number for clinching a playoff spot stands at two, meaning any combination of the Sound Tigers picking up two points or the Senators dropping two points during the final week of regular season play would give Bridgeport the final playoff position.
