
John Thomson to make Rehab Start in Mississippi

The Mississippi Braves announce that Atlanta Braves pitcher John Thomson will make a rehab start in Mississippi on Monday, August 8 vs. the Birmingham Barons.
Thomson, who was placed on the disabled list on May 17, has a 3-2 record in Atlanta with an ERA of 3.42 through eight games. Monday's game vs. Birmingham will be Thomson's third rehab start. He started one game for the Rome Braves on July 29 (4.0 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 1 K) and one game for the Richmond Braves on August 3 (3.2 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K).
Thomson was placed on the disabled list on May 17 with a strained flexor tendon in his right middle finger. Thomson is the first Atlanta Braves player to make a rehab appearance in Mississippi.
