MOBILE, Ala. - Corey Smith hit a two-run home run to right on a 2-2 fastball with two outs in the first inning, giving the BayBears a 2-1 lead in front of 4,771 fans Friday at Hank Aaron Stadium.

Suns starter Chad Billingsley (8-6) struck out 11 batters, walked one and allowed two runs over six innings, but earned the loss by virtue of allowing the home run to Smith, the third he has hit off Billingsley this season.
