March 31, 2026 - ST. LOUIS - A former Mainer has made it to The Show.
Matthew Pushard, a Brewer native and member of Sanford's 2019 squad, was informed this past week that he made the Opening Day roster for the St. Louis Cardinals. He made his debut on Sunday, tossing one inning out of the bullpen in St. Louis's 11-7 loss to Tampa Bay.
During his time in Sanford, the right-handed pitcher logged a 3-2 record in 13 game appearances, registering a 3.38 ERA, while striking out 25 batters in 18.2 innings pitched.

January 29, 2026 - SANFORD, Maine - The New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) released the 2026 season schedule on Thursday. It's a milestone season for the Mainers, who will celebrate 25 years as an organization this summer.
The 44-game slate begins at home, when Sanford takes on the Upper Valley Nighthawks on Thursday, June 4th. It's the first time Goodall Park has hosted a season opener in four years. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.

Players and coaches from all 13 teams will gather at Goodall Park on Sunday, July 26, for the NECBL Home Run Derby, the All-Star Game and a chance to showcase their skills in front of peers, fans and MLB scouts.

August 6, 2025 - SANFORD, Maine - The Sanford Mainers fell to the Keene SwampBats 8-0 at Goodall Park tonight. Keene takes game two of the series to complete the sweep, while Sanford sees its summer end in a shutout at home.
Sanford was down early, Keene got a run in the second and tacked on four more in the fifth to take a 5-0 lead. The SwampBats got spectacular pitching again, Keene held Sanford to just six hits the entire series.
