New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release
Jarrod Saltalamacchia drilled a solo home run to lead off the tenth inning to give the Oklahoma City Redhawks a 7-6 win on Tuesday afternoon. The Zephyrs had won three in a row and were within a game of .500 prior to the loss. It was a back and fourth game between the two teams with the Zephyrs rallying with two runs in the 9th inning to tie the game. Mitch Moreland led the Hawks with four hits and four RBI in the game. Clay Rapada earned the win and Kasey Olenberger threw one pitch and took the loss.
Game Notes- The Z's drop to 4.5 games back of Oklahoma City in the division race. Logan Morrison extended his hit streak to 8 games.
Coming Up: The Zephyrs and Redhawks will play a doubleheader on Wednesday beginning at 5pm. New Orleans will start LH Sean West in game one and RH Adalberto Mendez in game two. RADIO 106.1 FM
