
Z's Get Late Home Run in Win

PAPILLION, NE -Nick Green drilled the first pitch of the ninth inning out of the park to break a tie game and give the New Orleans Zephyrs a 6-5 win over the Omaha Storm Chasers.
The Zephyrs took advantage of two sixth inning errors and scored four runs to take a 5-2 lead over Omaha.
The Chasers rallied as former Zephyrs Brett Hayes and Gorkys Hernandez delivered long-balls for Omaha. Hayes drilled a solo home run in the fifth inning and added a two run shot in the seventh. Hernandez tied the game with a solo blast in the seventh.
It was the fourth consecutive game that the Zephyrs were involved in a tie game through eight innings.
Green's home run broke the tie and the Z's grabbed game one of the series. Adam Reifer earned the win and Chris Hatcher sent Omaha down in order in the ninth for his 32nd save.
The Zephyrs have won five of their last six and are 66-66.
Game Notes - It's the first time since 2007 that the Zephyrs will play consecutive five game series. The Z's started their final roadtrip of the season.
Coming Up-The Zephyrs and Omaha will meet Thursday at 7:05. New Orleans will start LH Brian Flynn (6-10, 3.00) vs. Omaha LH Chris Dwyer(9-10, 3.52). TV: Cox Sports Television RADIO: WMTI 106.1 FM "The Ticket".
