
Texas Rangers Sign RHP Britt Robertshaw From Open Tryout

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Texas Rangers have signed former Tarleton State RHP Britt Robertshaw to a 2014 minor league contract the club announced Wednesday. Robertshaw was signed out of the Rangers open tryouts held at Dell Diamond on August 20.
Robertshaw, 23, posted a combined 4-3 record with a 2.30 ERA (62.2ip/16er) and 14 saves in 38 appearances (three starts) for the Tarleton State Texans over the last two seasons. The Cedar Park native spent two seasons at Blinn Junior College (2009-10) and one season at Northwestern State (2011) before transferring to Tarleton State where he graduated in May 2013.
Robertshaw was one of over 275 registered participants at the open tryout.
