Zephyrs Lose to Nashville in 13 Innings

NASHVILLE, Tennessee - Jim Henderson smacked a two out single in the 13thinning to drive home Erick Almonte as Nashville defeated the Zephyrs 3-2 on Sunday at Greer Stadium. Henderson picked up the game winning RBI and earned the win. The Sounds pitcher worked two innings of scoreless relief. The Sounds had a 2-1 lead with two outs in the ninth when Luke Montz drilled a solo home run to tie the score at two. Nashville pitchers silenced the Z's bats as New Orleans got out hit 13-5 in the game. Sandy Rosario suffered the defeat for the Zephyrs.

Game Notes - The Z's fall to 2-1 in extra-inning games this season, their second 13th inning game. The first place Z's fall to 8-3 on the season and have dropped consecutive games for the first time. The two teams combined to use 11 pitchers in the game and 23 position players.
