MONTREAL - Saint John Sea Dogs defenceman Jakub Zboril has been named to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's 2014-15 Rookie All-Star Team.
The team was announced at last night's QMJHL Golden Puck Awards.
The 18-year-old from Brno, Czech Republic, had 13 goals and 20 assists for 33 points in 44 games with Saint John. He finished 16th in rookie scoring in the QMJHL. He also had one goal and three points in five playoff games.
Other members of the Rookie All-Star Team are: goalie Evan Fitzpatrick (Sherbrooke Phoenix), defenceman Samuel Girard (Shawinigan Cataractes), centre Filip Chlapik (Charlottetown Islanders), left winger Dmytro Timashov (Quebec Remparts) and right winger Evgeny Svechnikov (Cape Breton Screaming Eagles).
