
Three Sea Dogs to Compete at U18 World Championship

SAINT JOHN and CALGARY - Three Saint John Sea Dogs will represent their countries at the 2015 IIHF U18 World Championship later this month.
Forward Nathan Noel and defenceman Thomas Chabot were among 17 players named to Team Canada today while blueliner Jakub Zboril will represent the Czech Republic.
Noel, 17, led the Sea Dogs in scoring with 24 goals and 38 assists for 62 points in 66 games. The second-year pivot from St. John's tied for the team lead in playoff scoring with five goals and seven points in five games. Noel also played for Team Atlantic at the 2013 and 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
Chabot, 18, led all Sea Dog defencemen in scoring with 12 goals and 29 assists for 41 points in 66 games in his second season with Saint John. The Ste-Marie-de-Beauce, Quebec, native tied for 13th in scoring among rearguards in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and added one assist in five playoff games.
Zboril, 18, had 13 goals and 20 assists for 33 points in 44 games in his rookie season with Saint John. The Brno, Czech Republic, product had one goal and three points in five playoff games. He recorded three assists in seven games at last year's U18 World Championship, and also represented the Czech Republic at the 2013 and 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournaments and the 2013 World Junior A Challenge.
The 2015 IIHF U18 World Championship runs April 15-25 in Zug and Lucerne, Switzerland.
