PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League, today announced that Arizona goaltender Bill Zaniboni has been voted by the fans as the winner of week one's Performance of the Week for his individual game effort on opening night at Tim's Toyota Center in a 6-5 shootout victory over Colorado. Zaniboni made 11 saves in overtime versus the Eagles and turned away seven of nine shooters in the shootout. He finished the game with 36 saves earning his first professional victory.

Zaniboni received 345 votes in winning the weekly award and will now be automatically considered for the 2007-08 CHL Performance of the Year which will be announced in April, 2008. The rookie goaltender for the Sundogs beat out the competition which included Oklahoma City's Jason Wolfe's outstanding performance in Wichita on October 20th, Youngstown's Chris Richard's third period hat trick on October 19th, Rocky Mountain's Scott Wray's three-point performance on October 19th and the Laredo Bucks team effort of coming back from a 3-0 first period deficit to defeat the New Mexico Scorpions 5-4 on October 20th.

The Sundogs are off to an outstanding start this season in large part due to the efforts of the Plymouth, Massachusetts native. Arizona is currently in first place in the Southwest Division with a 3-1-1 record and Zaniboni has started and earned the decision in all five games thus far. The Northern Michigan University product joined the Sundogs just prior to the start of the season.
