Waco, TX – The Waco Marshals of the NIFL are pleased to announce the Zambian Vocal Collection will be singing the national anthem at their home opener this Saturday, March 20 against the Wichita Falls Thunder. Game time is at 7PM with the doors of the HOT Complex opening at 6PM.

The Zambian Vocal Collection comes half way around the world from the country of Zambia in the south-central region of Africa. Raised just east of the capital city of Lusaka, these young men faced a childhood where poverty, disease, and tribal divisions were commonplace. With their respective families making an average of $30 a month and haling from different tribes themselves, the Zambian Vocal Collection was united through their common desire to serve and praise the Lord with music. After being discovered by a visiting missionary in 1989 as small boys, they continued to work hard and, in 1996, traveled to the United States. They returned to Africa in 1999 where they reorganized and became the Zambian Vocal Collection. Their sound is a unique combination of traditional African rhythms, vocal percussion, and complex vocal harmonies, all of which are focused on a worshipful foundation that uplifts and proclaims the name of Jesus Christ.

The Waco Marshals open their season at home on March 20, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. against the Wichita Falls Thunder.
