Biloxi Shuckers News Release

KODAK, TN - Milwaukee Brewers RHP Zach Davies has been assigned to the Biloxi Shuckers for a rehabilitation assignment. Davies will join the Shuckers' rotation and start on Saturday night against the Tennessee Smokies.

This will be the fourth rehab appearance for Davies since July 27 as he continues to work his way back to Milwaukee following a shoulder injury. The right-hander did not allow a run in his start for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on the July 27, tossing 2.1 hitless frames. He was roughed up in his first of two starts with Colorado Springs, allowing five runs over 2.2 innings in Reno. The former 26th-round pick bounced back in his second appearance with the Sky Sox on August 6, giving up just one run over 4.2 innings.

Davies is the fifth Brewers' player to make a rehab assignment with the Shuckers this season. RHP Corey Knebel, LHP Boone Logan, LHP Wade Miley and C Stephen Vogt have all logged time in Biloxi during the 2018 campaign.

The Shuckers continue a five-game series in Tennessee against the Smokies on Friday night at 6:00 PM CT. The game can be heard locally on Cruisin' WCGM 1240 AM/ FM 100.9 and online on TuneIn Radio or the MiLB First Pitch App.
