Memphis 901 FC News Release

MEMPHIS, Tennessee - Defender Zach Carroll has re-signed with Memphis 901 FC for the 2021 season pending league and federation approval Sporting Director Tim Howard announced on Thursday.

"Bringing Zach back was always a priority for us heading into the 2021 season," Howard said.

Last season Carroll made 13 appearances and started 11 matches in the center back position for Memphis.

In his 1,012 minutes of play, Carroll made 19 tackles, won over 66 percent of challenges in the air and led the team in clearances.

Carroll helped Memphis 901 FC get off to a fast start last season, electrifying the sold-out crowd with a diving header that put Memphis up 2-0 on Indy Eleven in the Home Opener on March 9.

"He helped anchor the backline last year and will bring a wealth of experience and leadership back to the team," Howard said. "His return will be key as we continue building our roster for the season."

Carroll joins fellow returners Mark Segbers and Dan Metzger on Memphis's 2021 roster.

Additional news and information about the 2021 roster, schedule, tickets and more will be available in the coming weeks and months.
