Youngstown Phantoms and YSU Sports Marketing Present Ugly Sweater Night

YOUNGSTOWN, OH- The Youngstown Phantoms have joined with YSU Sports Marketing to create the ultimate hockey game experience with an exciting holiday twist - Ugly Sweater Night. Pictured above is Jim Tressel, YSU's President, and Aafke Loney, Co-Owner of the Youngstown Phantoms and Professor of the YSU Sports Marketing class.

Ugly Sweater Night will be held on Friday, December 4th at the Covelli Centre, where the Youngstown Phantoms will face off the Des Moines Buccaneers. Doors open at 6:30p.m., and the puck drops at 7:30p.m. Ugly Sweater Night will feature an ugly sweater party in the end zone exclusively for college students, a holiday photo booth, $1 beer, a guest appearance by Jim Tressel, and tons of games and prizes. Proceeds from the night will benefit CityScape's Sparkle Youngstown, which funds the lighting of the Downtown Youngstown area during the holiday season.

The Youngstown Phantom's December 4th game is "One Night. One Experience. All Youngstown." This night is special because it brings the community together. Not only has the event brought the Youngstown Phantoms and YSU marketing students together, but it will also bring fans in the community together and give back to a local cause.

Jessica Muscatello, a Youngstown Phantoms fan and student at YSU, told us how excited she is for Ugly Sweater Night. She said "I always have a good time when I attend the Youngstown Phantoms games. I'm really excited for Ugly Sweater Night. It's such a creative idea for the holidays. There will be a lot of fun activities for everyone, and I can't wait to wear my ugly sweater!" Like Jessica, many fans have already purchased tickets and are excited for the event.
