Young shuts down Zephyrs in 9-4 victory

Jason Young pitched 6 stellar innings in a 9-4 Sky Sox win on Tuesday night. Young allowed only 4 hits and 0 runs while striking out 2 and walking 4. The Sox offense continued to produce racking up 9 runs on 12 hits. 4 Sky Sox players had multi-hit nights including Brent Butler who was 3-4 with a double and 2 RBI. Choo Freeman also knocked in 2 RBI in his lone plate appearance, but had to leave the game jamming his left knee trying to stretch a single into double. The Sox and Zephyrs meet again Wednesday night at Sky Sox Stadium with the Sox sending Cory Vance (8-8, 4.62) to the mound against the Zephyrs Doug Sessions (5-3, 2.77).
