
Young Local Dancers invited to Perform on the Pioneers Field

Wilkes-Barre, PA- The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers' Diamond City Dance Team will be holding a clinic for young dancers ages 6-14 on Saturday, July 23rd at 3:30 PM at the Wachovia Arena.
A $30.00 pre-registration fee must be received by Monday, July 18th at 5:00 PM in order to participate. The young dancers will sign in at the West Gate of the Wachovia Arena starting at 3:00 PM. The clinic is slated to begin at 3:30 pm and end at 5:30 pm. All participants will receive a certificate of achievement and one ticket to the Pioneers July 23rd home game. All additional tickets needed for family and friends of the participants can be purchased at a special discounted rate of two dollars off the gate price.
The Diamond City Dancers will teach the Junior Dancers a new routing during the clinic that afternoon. The routine will later be performed by Diamond City Dancers accompanied by Jr. Diamond City Dancers that evening during halftime of the Pioneers home game.
"Everyone is very excited about the upcoming clinic," says Dance Team Coordinator/Choreographer Tiffany Yarish. "It's a great opportunity for young girls to experience a day in the life of a professional dancer, plus perform in front of thousands of people."

The Pioneers will be hosting Albany Conquest on July 23rd at the Wachovia Arena. Pioneers single game and group tickets are now on sale. Anyone interested in purchasing Pioneers tickets should contact the team's ticket sales office at either (570) 270-5811 or (570) 270-5813. Tickets are also available at the Wachovia Arena box office and online at Ticketmaster.com.
