York Revolution News Release

The next milestone in the development of York's new minor league baseball team was reached when the official Revolution logos were unveiled Monday morning during a press conference at the Yorktowne Hotel in downtown York.

Following comments by Keystone Baseball President Jon Danos and Revolution General Manager Matt O'Brien, O'Brien introduced members of the York City Little League, who presented the new logo to invited guests and media. The children wore Revolution baseball caps and T-shirts.

Just prior to introducing the logo, O'Brien said, "This feels like we are getting ready to unwrap a really cool holiday present. Today marks the beginning of our brand in living color. We have sought a brand logo that captures what a 'Revolution' represents, both historically and today."

The primary logo features a soaring eagle holding a baseball, with the words "York Revolution" above it. In addition to the primary logo - a secondary logo, inaugural season logo and word mark were introduced. The secondary logo will be featured on the official team caps and includes a Capital "Y" with an eagle head peaking out. The eagle is holding a baseball in its mouth.

"Local history played a big role in the logo design," O'Brien added. "We chose to convey the historical importance of York in bold and dynamic way. The team colors of sergeant's red, continental navy, silver and brass seemed appropriate and give us a unique identity. Our logo and colors represent a conscious effort to make a connection between the past and the present of baseball in York County."

Youth and adult-size caps and T-shirts bearing the team's logo and colors are now available by logging on to the Revolution newly-launched web site, www.YorkRevolution.com, and going to the new "Team Store" page. The web site will also provide regularly updated information about the team and Sovereign Bank Stadium.

Season tickets and mini-plans are now available for the 2007 inaugural season by calling 717-801-HITS, or by logging on to www.YorkRevolution.com. The Revolution has also opened up offices at 160 Roosevelt Avenue, Suite 201 in York. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 9am - 5pm.
