The North American Baseball League Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings are announcing pitcher Yobanny Reyes was placed on the voluntary retired list on Monday, June 18, 2012.
Reyes was injured during the WhiteWings' 9-7 loss to the McAllen Thunder Saturday night. The former New York Yankees farmhand was 2-3 with a 4.24 ERA this season.
Please note Yobanny Reyes had incorrectly been named "Geovawy" Reyes on several rosters and statistical sites this season.
