WhiteWings Revive Airplaner Toss
June 18, 2012 - North American League (NAmL)
Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings News Release
This may be a new era for the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings, but they, the Valley Morning Star and the Brownsville Herald are bringing back a "blast from the past" promotion that was successful more than a decade ago.
It's the Great Airplane Toss, which will take place at the WhiteWings game against the McAllen Thunder at Harlingen Field on Friday. Gametime is 7:05 p.m.
The winner of the airplane toss will win two roundtrip tickets to any place that Southwest Airlines flies.
That could even mean California, New York or Florida.
Contestants can find the paper plane and instructions on building it in Friday's Valley Morning Star and the Brownsville Herald.
They then can fly their plane at the Great Airplane Toss in hopes of winning the prize.
